3-Minute Setup

Tutorial 1: Go Live in 3 Steps

  1. Add a video link (Google Drive or direct URL)
  2. Connect a destination (YouTube/Facebook)
  3. Create a stream and press Start

LiveOstad does not host or store videos. You stream using your own links.

What is a slot? A streaming connection used to run a stream (depends on your plan concurrency).

📘 Step-by-Step Tutorials

1) Add a Video Link (Videos Page)

Goal: Add your video to LiveOstad using your own link.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Videos
  2. Paste your Video URL (Google Drive share link, Dropbox, CDN, or direct URL)
  3. (Optional) Add a Title
  4. Click Add Link

Tips:

  • Make sure the link has proper viewing access
  • Avoid changing the file location while streaming

2) Connect YouTube or Facebook (Destinations Page)

Goal: Add the platform where you want to go live.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Destinations
  2. Select a Platform (YouTube or Facebook)
  3. Paste your Stream Key
  4. Click Add Destination

Security Tip: Keep stream keys private. If leaked, rotate the key on YouTube/Facebook and update it in LiveOstad.

3) Create & Start a Stream (Streams Page)

Goal: Start streaming your selected video to your destination.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Streams
  2. Choose a video from Select video
  3. Choose a slot/destination from Select Slot
  4. Click Create Stream
  5. Click Start

What you’ll see: Status changes from pending → running when live starts.
